Here's how to manage and turn off various SOS features on your iPhone:
Emergency SOS via Satellite: This feature lets you text emergency services when you're in a place with no cellular and Wi-Fi coverage. You can't fully disable this feature, but you can disable the automatic calling and texting to emergency services. Go to Settings > Emergency SOS and toggle off "Call with Hold" or "Call with 5 Presses" depending on your iPhone model. This will prevent accidental calls to emergency services if you inadvertently trigger the SOS function. Note that even with these options disabled, you can still manually initiate an SOS call by holding the side button and either volume button.
Emergency Contacts: While you can't directly turn off the entire Emergency SOS feature, you can manage your Emergency Contacts. These contacts are notified when you use Emergency SOS. To manage or remove them, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then tap Medical ID. From there, you can edit or remove contacts listed under "Emergency Contacts."
Turning Off "Call with Hold" or "Call with 5 Presses": As mentioned above, disabling "Call with Hold" or "Call with 5 Presses" in Settings > Emergency SOS is the closest you can get to disabling the feature entirely, as it prevents accidental triggering.
